CERFO’s mission is to contribute, in a sustainable development perspective, to the technological advancement and growth of organizations and college-level educational institutions in Québec forestry sector.
The CERFO obtained its accreditation as a CCTT in 1984. The centre operates in the field of forestry, specifically in applied research in forestry, supplying plants, issues with wood production, ecosystem-based forest management, climate change, invasive alien species, wildlife management, remote sensing in forestry and agroforestry.
