CRITAC’s mission is to advance and transfer knowledge circus arts in the field of performing arts and human performance. It promotes the evolution and diversification of practices, training and esthetics, highlighting the benefits for society.
CRITAC offers applied research, technical assistance, training and information services to businesses, artists, organizations and institutions as part of a partnership approach. The centre’s areas of focus are technique and technology, the optimization of human performance and social innovation. The centre works in six fields of research, pedagogy, health and safety, writing and dramaturgy, history and aesthetics, technical innovations, and interactive and immersive technologies. CRITAC relies on an exceptional network of researchers, technicians, designers, educators, artists in the performing arts, students and managers.
